The law enforcement officials have taken away all weapons from the apartments of the former chairman of the Sumy regional state administration, Vladimir Shcherban, reported "Ukrainsky noviny".
The Department of public relations of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine informs that during the authorized search two guns, four sporting guns, not registered, and about 1.3 thousand of fillings for the weapon were taken away from Shcherban’s apartments in Sumy.
Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine called an international search for Vladimir Shcherban.
He is suspected of committing crimes according to the Article 189, part 2 (blackmail) and the Article 365, part 1 (abuse of power) of Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Earlier the Sumy prosecutor’s office brought two criminal actions against Schcerban. He was accused of blackmail and preventing from realizing one’s voting right during the presidential election 2004.
