"Internet Reporter" said, that the causes of strike are default of the miner demands by the owner of the mine – the Ministry of Fuel and Energy. The demands were presented during the strike which was conducted on April 26 – May 5. Approximately 180 miners per day took part in the action.
The main miners' demands are the safety of work conditions and clearing off the debts which numbered more than 7,000,000 hrv.
The wage payment were given in the total volume only for January of the current year, but for February were only 70%, for March – 30% and for April not a stiver. The last straw was the salary accounting for April, said Kozyuberda. The strikers were reduced in the salary for the 5 days of strike despite the fact that it was officially registered collective labor dispute, moreover the mine extract 300 t of coal per day.
