The writer Robert Shekly, who came to Kiev to take part in the forum of fiction writers, suddenly fell ill and is staying now in private hospital in Kiev. He is connected to the system of artificial respiration.
Yesterday the representatives of world-wide known writer in Ukraine appeared with a special statement. They ask the government of Ukraine to further Shekly’s transfer to a state hospital. They consider the writer will not be able to recover in a private hospital, but only in a special-purpose one. For the time being all state establishments, they addressed to, refused treatment.
Doctors diagnosed progressive respiratory deficiency. Some years ago Shekly survived infarct.
