The secretary of National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Petr Poroshenko declared that "the president of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko and the president of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will sign an agreement about Yushchenko-Putin commission during their meeting on May 8 in Moscow."

In an interview to the newspaper "Komersant" Poroshenko said that "this commission, headed by the presidents, will solve the problems of borders, Black sea fleet, Single Economic Area, cultural and humanitarian cooperation."

Poroshenko also reported that "during his recent visit to Moscow he paved the way for signing the agreement, and agreed the candidatures, who would head the commission committees."

Poroshenko underlined that coolness of Ukrainian – Russian relationships is a myth.
