The president of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko conducted a meeting with the governing director of World Bank Shengman Jang, during which Yushchenko offered to develop a "Road map" of cooperation between WB and Ukraine for 2005.

The state secretary Alexander Zinchenko, the minister of finance Victor Pinzenik and deputy executive director of World Bank Tamara Solyanik also took part in negotiations from the Ukrainian side.

The another side was represented by the president of WB in Ukraine Dushan Vuyovich and the director of WB on Ukraine, Byelorussia and Moldova, Paul Bermingham, UNIAN reported.

Jang assured that World Bank is ready to cooperate with Ukraine and to help with certain projects, in particular to attract investments.

The executive director expressed willingness to revise those Bank’s projects which are realizing now in Ukraine in view of the fact that internal situation has changed in the country.

Ukrainian president agreed that "it would be right to revise the stock of loans, stated by Ukraine and WB before, as some projects are not actual for today."

First of all Ukraine needs help with agriculture, with social and humanitarian projects, in particular, fight with AIDS and tuberculosis. Besides, energy supply and energy economy spheres also need the help of World Bank.
