On today’s meeting Senate has approved a bill draft about urgent additional expense of federal budget of the US for current financial year, which provides for financing Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan.

According to RIA "Novosty", the bill provides for giving a grant to Ukraine in the amount of 60 million USD, about which the president of the USA, George Bush, reported in White house during the joint press-conference with the president of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko on April 4.

"Committee acknowledges the historic gains of "orange revolution" and considers that additional financing will help developing and consolidation of vitally important political and economical reforms in this country" is said in the committee’s accompanying letter to the bill draft.

The bill draft must be agreed with the version, adopted by Congress Representatives Chamber, and after the final approval will be sent to the president Bush for signing.
