Yesterday the National Bank of Ukraine shocked inter-bank currency market by having purchased the surplus supply of USD at the rate of 5.05 UAH/ USD and placed the very rate for today. In any currency exchange point, either in the capital or other cities, one may witness how the USD value is lessening. In the Kiev centre the rate amounts up 4.9 UAH/USD. This fact has shocked not only ordinary citizens, but financiers as well.

At that, the chief of advisory board of the NBU Head - Valery Litvitzky states that at present the impetuous process of hryvnia intensification compared to US dollar adequately corresponds with the current market situation.

It seems that we should be proud of the fact that the national currency is strengthening and getting valued, though at present Ukrainians are at least dissatisfied and therefore start to exchange their savings.
