The president of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko called the American businessmen to work and invest in the Ukrainian market. Yushchenko appealed with such statement to the representatives of the leading American companies, speaking in United States Chamber of Commerce in Washington.
"Soon you will see the most modern market of Europe", - Yushchenko said.
According to the Ukrainian president, the senseless administrative pressure was a large problem for business work in Ukraine before. From now the administration guarantees the business will not be oppressed. "The administration will be your partner", - he promised, "UNIAN" reported.
The president reported about creation of Investors Council, which would promote and defend business-interests on the Ukrainian market.
Yushchenko marked also, that Ukraine’s main task is to get a status of country with a market economy this year and to get membership of World Trade Organization. He also reported about intention to adapt the national legislation to the European norms and standards.
Yushchenko called to invest in energy supply, gas and oil transit, electric power transit, high technologies and agroindustrial complex.
In opinion of the Ukrainian president, the "reanimation" of project "Odessa-Brody" and joining the consortium for transporting Caspian gas by the route Turkmenistan - Kazakhstan - Russia - Ukraine can become interesting for American businessmen.
Yushchenko offered businessmen to participate in an economic forum, which will pass in Ukraine in June of this year. More than a thousand representatives of business communities from around the world will take part in this forum.
