New names in "Melnichenko’s records" case

Listening of the cabinet of the president Leonid Kuchma was organized by Eugen Marchuk, the ex- lieutenant colonel of Federal Security Service Alexander Litvinenko declared in an exclusive interview to the agency "Interfax-Ukraine" by phone from London.

Litvinenko referred to the talk with the ex-major of state security Nickolay Melnichenko.

According to him, Melnichenko revealed that listening was conducted by a group of guard officers during two years with the help of "the special equipment".

Litvinenko got political asylum in Great Britain; his name is connected to the businessman Boris Beresovsky.
