On Thursday the President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko signed the Decree "About temporary introduction of a visa-free procedure for citizens of the states-members of European Union and Swiss Confederation", the press-service of the Head of the State informs, MIGnews. Com.ua reported.
This Decree is directed to maintenance of a real openness of Ukrainian society, the realization of strategic policy of Ukraine concerning integration into European community, the creation of appropriate conditions for attraction of investments into national economy, "national diplomacy" and tourism.
According to the Decree of the President the visa-free procedure of entrance to Ukraine for citizens of EU and Swiss Confederation will act from May, 1 till September, 1, 2005. It is introduced also for maintenance the appropriate preparation and organization of song festival "Eurovision-2005" in Ukraine.
