PM of Ukraine George Manchulenko has commented information that the ex-president of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma seeks political asylum in Russia to the ForUm’s correspondent.
"Kuchma can seek political asylum wherever he likes. But I doubt that countries, which respect human rights and follow form of the statute, will break off a relationship with Ukraine. If Russia wants to take this way, it is its choice. Now it is clear to everybody, what power is in Russian Federation", - the deputy said.
He declared at the same time that he would not advise Kuchma to seek political asylum in Russia. "People do not like him as it is. But after this it will become clear for good… Early or late, all the same he will have to respond", - Manchulenko added.
