The Chernobyl exclusion zone is the most advantageous in its use for the implementation of special projects for handling and processing of radioactive waste, vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuri Boiko told ForUm correspondent.
"A special working group is exploring options of future of the Chernobyl zone. The basic variant is a specialized use. Given the experience of the team, it is waste treatment," vice Prime Minister noted.
Answering the question of whether the exclusion zone can be used for tourism and earning on that, Boiko said, "There's absolutely normal background radiation. You can earn on everything, but the most effective option is specialized projects".
