The Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine has signed an agreement with the World Bank to resume facilitation of energy efficiency on the housing sector in Ukraine, Minister for Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services Anatoliy Blyzniuk said, according to UKRINFORM.

The direct executor of the project for Ukraine's housing sector energy efficiency is the International Finance Corporation.

In addition, the project is being implemented with financial assistance from the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). The total project cost is $3 million. The project is planned for 3 years.

Anatoliy Blyzniuk noted that the World Bank is implementing several projects in different cities of Ukraine totaling $140 million at a rate of 1.5% with a 5-year grace period.

"These are very advantageous terms, on which we need to implement energy efficiency programs," Blyzniuk said.
