Acting vice Prime Minister Yuri Boiko states the increase of consumer debt for gas.

This he told reporters in Kharkiv after participating in the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of establishment of the plant "Turboatom".

"We have not been receiving gas payments for the last two months, particularly from those regions, in which authorities were eliminated," Boiko said.

According to him, because of this gas debt grew by 4 billion hryvnia just for January, which put pressure on "Naftogaz of Ukraine" in terms of settlements with Russian partners.

"We are now working on this problem. Those, who now manage regional administrations in the western Ukraine, should understand that the time to pay the bills will come," Boiko said.

He added that the debt increases mainly due to the west and those regions, in which the so-called People's Councils came to power.
