Ukraine actively implements an action plan pursuant to the program "Partnership "Open Government."The program intends to develop e-government systems. In 2013, the program made a significant progress. One of the latest achievements is a noticeable shift in the "Electronic kindergarten" project. The announcement was made by Volodymir Seminozhenko, Chairman of the State Agency for Science, Innovation and Informatization, the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs.

"Lately we can see a significant intensification of this initiative. Special activity and progress are demonstrated by a number of regions that have achieved a certain success in this matter," he said.

Experts say the proposed model of e-kindergarten aims to simplify the whole process of admitting children in preschool institutions, eliminate queues and make the admittance procedure more transparent. In simple words, parents can put a child in kindergarten without leaving home.

Experts note Dnipropetrovsk region as a successful example, which has actually become a pioneer in introducing the system. In April 2013, on the initiative of local authorities a pilot project in kindergartens and cities of Marganets and Dneprodzerzhinsk was launched.

To date, all pre-schools in the Dnipropetrovsk region (over 950 kindergartens) are connected to a common portal "Electronic kindergarten." Due to the active use of online kindergarten registration system, as of early December 2013 over 66,000 online kindergarten applications were processed. Also an interactive map of the region was commissioned, where you can go to a website of any kindergarten in the Dnipropetrovsk region and get useful information. For some institutions virtual 3D tours are available at the portal. It should be noted that online kindergarten registration to some extent has been launched in almost all regions of Ukraine.
