President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych instructed law enforcement agencies to immediately check all the facts of detention of journalists, check all the circumstances and release the media employees.
"Journalists perform their professional duties and fall into different situations as a result of circumstances. I ask to bear with this and facilitate the work of journalists".
In addition, Yanukovych appealed to journalists with the request to "take into account the circumstances under which they perform their professional duties and the complexity of the occurring process".
