The vast majority of Ukrainians do not support what is happening in Kyiv, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during a meeting with Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland in Switzerland, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports.

According to him, the government categorically rejects all unconstitutional actions that take place in the capital of Ukraine and which are also not supported by the majority of the citizens of Ukraine.

Azarov thanked Jagland for a weighted position concerning the situation in Kyiv.

"I am very grateful to you for a weighted position concerning the situation in Kyiv. I understand the concern of European policymakers. Believe me, I as Prime Minister worry no less. We are willing to accept all decisions in order to resolve the situation through compromise," Azarov said.
