Social policy minister of Ukraine Natalia Korolevska demanded from the leaders of the social institutions in certain regions to solve the problem with a delay in welfare payments and to bring to justice those guilty of untimely payments, ForUm correspondent reports.
The minister noted that people have not received social assistance or got it delayed in Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Luhansk, Ternopil, Kharkiv and Cherkasy regions. "A separate question is Kherson region, where only 42 % of the funds were transferred as of January 20, and Kherson," she said.
According to the minister, the first tranche of state benefits for January, which makes up 3 billion 249 million UAH, has been fully financed. "In general, 3 billion 619 million UAH have been provided for payment of government benefits in January," Korolevska said.
