The European Court of Human Rights dismissed the petition of EuroMaidan activists, in which they asked to instruct the Ukrainian government to refrain from intervention in the protests, justice minister Olena Lukash told a briefing in the Cabinet of the Minister, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Few people know, but Europe has already responded to calls from Maidan representatives. December 23, 2013, the Justice Ministry received a letter from the ECHR on the case "Danevych and others vs. Ukraine"," she said.

According to the minister, in the letter to the Government, it was reported that on 17 December 2013, the Chamber of the European Court denied the applicant's request, in which they asked to instruct the government of Ukraine to refrain from intervention in the mass protests by blocking of protesters or forced disperse.

The minister noted that the ECHR decided that the applicants had not proved the presence of individual risk.
