At its regularly scheduled meeting on Jan. 9, 2014, the Cabinet passed a resolution to change the purpose of communal land plots (total area 12.7 hectares) in permanent use of public utility "Svyatoshin Aesthetic Forest." They will be reclassified from forestry stock to lands for industry, transport, communications, and energy – with further transfer for permanent use to municipal corporation "Kyivavtodor" for building of an access road and offsite utilities to innovation park Bionic Hill, a component of National Project Technopolis, the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs.

This decision was made to ensure the necessary infrastructure and efficient logistics for construction of the first high-tech innovation park Bionic Hill in the country; active phase of construction began in the fall of 2013.

The Bionic Hill concept envisions establishment of innovation ecosystem "Live - Work - Study - Relax" and aims to build a unified platform for business development and comfortable environment for work and living of experts in the field of high end technology.

Priority areas of innovation park include information and communication technology, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, energy saving and efficiency. The project envisions office space for Ukrainian and international companies, research-development centers, and pure high-tech industry.

Stage 1 of the project will be launched in 2015. By that time, Technopark will be provided with research and business centers, housing for IT experts, a fitness center, and social infrastructure – cafes, pharmacies, shops. The project will be fully completed by 2020. The total cost of the project is about 1 billion USD.
