President Viktor Yanukovych requires accelerating the preparation of infrastructure in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lviv, Odesa and Kharkiv for holding of Eurobasket-2015. It was stated by him at the meeting of the Council of Regions, the press service of the President reported.
"Successful experience of hosting EURO-2012 is a reliable foundation for holding of Eurobasket-2015. I require to significantly accelerate comprehensive preparation of infrastructure in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lviv, Odesa and Kharkiv," Yanukovych noted.
According to him, the process of preparation has been unreasonably delayed. "We must primarily focus on transport, accommodation, security and healthcare," the President said.
The Head of State also noted the preparation to the Winter Olympics 2022 would accelerate the development of regions.
