To date, Ukraine's position is much more beneficial than it was on the eve of the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius, foreign minister of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Today, I believe that Ukraine is in a better position than at the time of the Vilnius summit. First, our negotiations with the European Union continue, the issue is not closed. Ukraine, in accordance with the joint declaration of the Vilnius summit, holds talks to ensure the implementation of this agreement. You know that the failure to sign the Association Agreement has allowed us to negotiate with the Russian Federation. We have already had positive results of these negotiations," Kozhara said.

"Any international negotiations involve the presence of not only one, but also of other parties. In this case, Ukraine had to deal with an extremely complex structure, which involves centralized EU institutions, 27, and then 28 EU capitals, the European Parliament and leading European political parties. Therefore it is clear that the nature of these negotiations was very long, as this is not one country, it is a union of countries. And we believe that the outcome of the negotiations on the text of the main Agreement was successful," the head of the Foreign Ministry said.
