Public sector employees in Kyiv will not be paid salaries for November and December 2013, secretary of the Kyiv City Council Halyna Hereha told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to her, the additional subsidy from the state budget of more than 200 million UAH will not be used as intended until the year-end, as appropriate changes were not introduced to the city budget.

Hereha also said public transport might stop in Kyiv, as staff of "Kyivpastrans" wouldn’t be paid wages for October, November and December.

She added that she no longer intended to convene a session of the city council before the end of this year. "I will not hold the session and will not convene it until the New Year, because I can not work in such conditions," she said.

In turn, the city council member Yuri Bondar told reporters on the sidelines that MPs will ask Hereha to hold a session after January 15.
