December 12, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov paid a visit to Brussels. He met with EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Füle.
The parties discussed issues, related to the signing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
At the final press conference, Stefan Füle said: "We agreed today that on the basis of a clear commitment of Ukraine to sign the Association Accord, we will first prepare a road map for implementation of the accord".
In Brussels Arbuzov told the Euronews channel on the details of the negotiation process.
"European integration is our strategic goal. And I am here to make this issue clear for everybody. That is, I do not deal with integration in other organizations in other unions," he noted.
Commenting on relations with the International Monetary Fund, the First Vice Prime Minister said that the parties are now in active negotiations on the timing and amount of the loan.
"As for the IMF, we are negotiating on a specific amount, with specific deadlines. In the memorandum, we discuss the amount of $ 15 billion. Negotiations continue. Final figures will be known after the memorandum is signed," Arbuzov said.
