The government of Ukraine stands for early signing of the Association Agreement with the EU, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov stated, opening a government’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"I want to draw attention to the motives of protests of our citizens. Those who came to Maidan require immediately signing of the Association Agreement with the EU. The government also stands for signing of the Agreement as soon as possible, but we want to create such conditions, under which losses for the Ukrainian economy will be minimized," Azarov said.
According to him, the Ukrainian government has already offered the European Commission to consider the conditions for the domestic industry.
"We propose to solve the issue of providing financial assistance to Ukraine. We determined approximate amount - 20 billion euros. This is a non-repayable financial aid from the European budget. We propose the EU to take part in investment of mutually beneficial projects," he said.
