Three criminal proceedings over abuse of power during dispersal of the Euromaidan action were initiated against officers of the "Berkut".
This was announced by deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuri Udartsov at a meeting of the Parliament’s committee on human rights, national minorities and international relations.
Udartsov reported that the bodies of internal affairs carry out pre-trial investigation into 24 criminal proceedings.
There are injured on both sides. According to him, 242 people sought medical assistance, including 73 officers of police and internal troops, of whom 48 were hospitalized.
He added that 62 civilians, including four journalists, were sent to inpatient treatment. 4 people were hospitalized.
