At a meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Government to be held on November 20 in St. Petersburg, Ukraine will insist on the need to execute the FTA agreement among the CIS countries. This was announced by spokesman of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis at a briefing.
"One of the main issues, which the Ukrainian party intends to focus on, will be implementation of provisions of the free trade area agreement among the CIS states and the need for unconditional execution of the document by all parties," Perebyinis said.
According to him, the meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Government will be attended by the Ukrainian delegation headed by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.
The agenda includes 20 economic, social and humanitarian issues. In particular, the draft plan of the preparation and celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War will be subject to discussion.
In addition, participants will exchange views on the updated forecast of energy production and consumption by the CIS countries-participants up to 2020, will listen to report on activities of the Council in the CIS health sector, on the implementation of the interstate radio navigation program.
