Ukraine met the deadline and submitted a bid to the International Olympic Committee to host the XXIV Olympic Winter Games 2022 in Lviv.
This was announced by vice Prime Minister Oleksandr Vilkul at a conference on the Internet development in Kyiv.
"Today, November 14, is the deadline. I want to say that we applied to host the Olympic Games 2022," vice Prime Minister said.
The capital of the Winter Olympic Games 2022 will be named in July 2015 at a session of the International Olympic Committee. To date, Lviv competes with Oslo, Stockholm and Almaty.
