During the night the opposition deputies, who are members of the working group on developing a joint bill on treatment of prisoners abroad, developed a new legislation initiative, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement Andriy Kozhemiakin said during the meeting, ForUm correspondent.

According to him, the document consists of three pages and a comparison table.

The deputy noted that it includes all proposals that were agreed at yesterday meeting of the working group, as well as three positions, which did not find a general support. "It is really necessary to amend the Criminal Procedure and the Criminal Executive Codes," he said.

In turn, MP from the UDAR faction Iryna Herashchenko said that this bill provides that guarantees of return of a convicted person to his country should be registered under the European Convention on Extradition of 1958, ratified by our Parliament in 1998.

Representatives of the majority stated that they needed time to study the proposals of the opposition. 

After that, head of the working group Hennady Vasylyev announced a break until 2 pm.
