Tombinsky: Ukraine is important neighbor of the EU

Ukraine is the most important direct neighbor of the European Union, chairman of the European Union Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinsky stated during a round table meeting "Reforming of local government in Ukraine" in Kyiv.

"When people ask me why I'm interested in the fact that Ukraine to become a member of the EU, I remind them that Ukraine is the most important direct neighbor of the EU," he stressed.

But, according to Tombinsky, the EU needs a reliable and stable partner, whose policy is predictable.

In addition, Tombinsky said that he is optimistic about Ukraine’s signing of the Association Agreement with the EU at the Vilnius summit.
