Ukraine will not be able to achieve successful performance on energy saving without the introduction of new technologies, regional development, construction, housing and communal services minister of Ukraine Hennady Temnyk said at the IX International Congress "Institutional and Technical Aspects of Housing and Communal Services Reform", ForUm correspondent reports.

He noted that the ministry is working on a task of the President to reduce natural gas consumption by 50 %. "This is a strategic task, we are working on. It lies in the introduction of alternative fuels and upgrade of the existing gas equipment," the minister said.

Temnyk added that the housing and utilities sector in Ukraine is rather attractive for investing. "It has the ability to propose the introduction of technological and other developments that already exist in Europe and are present in Ukraine in the best examples. Ukraine will not be able to achieve successful performance on energy saving without the introduction of new technologies," Temnyk summed up.
