Ukraine produces full range of agricultural equipment

Ukraine produces the full range of equipment for agricultural works, deputy agrarian policy and food minister Valery Davydenko said during the opening of the ninth international exhibition of remunerative highly effective agriculture "InterAGRO-2013," ForUm correspondent reports.

"Production of Ukrainian equipment increases every year. As of today, the country produces the full range of equipment required for agricultural producers, including plows, harvesters, tractors," he said.

Davydenko also stressed that domestic equipments are in demand abroad.

"We also export agricultural equipment in a small number to the EU, as well as Russia and Belarus," he said.

However, the deputy minister stressed that the issue of agricultural engineering was raised at the high state level.

"This is one of the priority areas of Ukraine's economy, one of the most important tasks of the program of economic reforms," the representative of the Agrarian Policy Ministry said.
