Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has congratulated his compatriots on the 69th anniversary of Ukraine's liberation from Nazi invaders, according to the governmental portal.
"On this day my congratulations primarily relate to veterans of the World War II and the postwar period. We respect your merits before the Fatherland, your life is an endless source of love for the native land, strength of the spirit, a shining example of serving the people. Today we bow before the blessed memory of those who gave their lives to stop the Nazi invasion, express our deep respect for all who won freedom and independence of their country in fierce battles, bravely resisted the enemy underground, worked selflessly in the rear," the Prime Minister noted.
Azarov is sure that the descendants of the victors will always be worthy of military and labor feats of their fathers and grandfathers, will do everything for the flowering of the native Ukraine.
