Yanukovych: Ukraine should not choose only one integration vector

Any discussions about need to choose only one of two key vectors of integration are wrong, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said at a meeting of the heads of CIS states in Minsk, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the President, his principal position is that any talks about need to choose between the deepening of cooperation with the CIS member states (as well as the entire Eurasian integration project) and Europe are fundamentally wrong.

Yanukovych stressed that after the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU Ukraine will find ways to cooperate with the Customs Union. "We should seriously deal with trade relations among the CIS countries and especially with the CU. I think we will find compromises and will open new opportunities to promote goods in join markets," he said.
