Leader of the UDAR Party Vitali Klitschko said at the Verkhovna Rada evening meeting on Thursday that he intended to run for president of Ukraine.
"What is currently happening in parliament in regards to the law, to which pro-authority deputies are related directly, I want to say that I can not be intimidated or stopped. In order to stop various wild guesses and attempts to get rid of me, I want to say - I am running for president," he said.
The UDAR faction said that the passing of the bill amending the Tax Code regarding listing and registering tax payers was a provocation against Klitschko.
