Chechetov: Opposition does not want to write draft law on treatment of prisoners abroad

The Party of Regions faction called upon the opposition to write a bill on treatment of prisoners, but the opposition refused to do it, first deputy chairman of the Party of Regions Mykhailo Chechetov said during the morning plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, ForUm correspondent reports.

"In our view, such law should guarantee the right to treat abroad all prisoners," the first deputy chairman of the Party of Regions said.

According to him, today the issue of Tymoshenko remains unsolved. "The opposition wants to present it as a common European problem, but it is our internal problem," the MP said.

Chechetov noted that the opposition demanded the President to pardon Tymoshenko in an uncivilized form, but did not answer the question how to do it.
