President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych thanked President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman for his support of Ukraine's European aspirations, he said during the Ukrainian-Czech bilateral talks in Kyiv, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Ukraine is on the verge of making a historical decision – signing the Association Agreement with the EU at the summit in Vilnius. The Czech Republic has traditionally supported the European integration aspirations of Ukraine. I hope this historical decision will be made in Vilnius," the President said.
In addition, he stressed that Ukraine was interested in the enhancement of trade-economic and humanitarian relations with the Czech Republic.
He expressed hope that after the elections of the new Czech government on October 25-26 will strengthen the intergovernmental cooperation.
