The priorities of the European Union's financial support for Ukraine are the reforms in public administration, nuclear safety and energy, Head of Operations at the EU Delegation to Ukraine Andrew Rasbash told a press briefing, ForUm correspondent reported.

According to him, Ukraine should continue reforms not only in the field of public administration, law, but also in all other spheres, particularly in business. "Our biggest hope is that the EU values will be accepted and implemented by Ukraine in all spheres. That is why we support the Ukrainian government, and also cooperate with non-governmental organizations," he noted.

According to Rasbash, the rule of law is also an important priority. "Usually we do not allocate a lot of money for this direction, but actively fight against manifestations of violations," he said.

In addition, the third priority of financial support from the European Union to Ukraine is energy. "This is a big problem. Support for energy efficiency and other projects ... About a third of funds allocated to Ukraine have been aimed at ensuring nuclear safety and the elimination of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident," he said.
