Transition to EU technical regulations to enter the European market will be costly for Ukraine, Head of Operations at the EU Delegation to Ukraine Andrew Rasbash told a press briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, Ukraine's transition to the technical regulations of the European Union will require substantial funds. "The EU standards are very high, and they can not be cheap ... That’s why the Ukrainian side should assess whether it is necessary, or look for other markets," he said.

At the same time, Rasbash stressed that the European market is a big market of over 500 million affluent people.

"For Ukraine, it would be useful to enter this market, but before it is necessary to make an investment," Head of Operations at the EU Delegation to Ukraine noted.
