The road map on settlement the issues of investment and financial cooperation will be signed within the meetings of the Committee on Economic Cooperation of the Ukrainian- Russian Interstate Commission. This was stated by Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, Ukrainian Cabinet press service informs.
"Over the last two years, our trade turnover fell by almost a quarter. Ukraine's share in foreign trade turnover decreased by 1 %. This is not a good trend. It is therefore necessary to analyze the situation and consider methods to promote bilateral trade. Today we sign a road map to settle the issues of investment and financial cooperation," Medvedev said.
Azarov added that during today's meeting with his Russian counterpart, there were discussed large-scale projects of bilateral cooperation.
"We have discussed a number of issues and find constructive solutions. We need to use our meetings for staging large-scale problems, we can solve together," he said.
The Prime Minister stressed that cooperation between Ukraine and the Russian Federation is extremely constructive in the high-tech industries such as aviation and space, in which our countries have the best technologies in the world.
