The Memorandum of Understanding between the Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia on cooperation in the development of the transport corridor between the Baltic and Black Seas was signed in Tallinn, in the presence of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and President of the Republic of Estonia Toomas Hendrik.

The Protocol provides for the creation of favorable conditions for the development of transport connections between the Black Sea and the Baltic Sea, the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of logistics, transportation of goods and passengers.

"The signing of the Protocol allows to further development of the transport corridor for transit between the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea, to expand the number of countries participating in the existing route, to intensify efforts to attract additional freight, to expand the geography of routes of cargo transportation," the press service of Ukrainian President informs.

The document provides for increased cooperation between the Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia, as well as between the railway administrations of the parties.
