Agrarian policy and food minister of Ukraine Mykola Prysiazhniuk has left for a two-day working visit to Russia.

Today the minister will take part in the 11th meeting of the Ukrainian-Russian Sub-Commission on Agriculture of the Committee on Economic Cooperation of the Ukrainian-Russian interstate commission. The event will take place in Moscow. The parties are to discuss cooperation in the agricultural sector, particularly in the veterinary and phytosanitary field, the grain sector and food processing industries.

Tomorrow Prysiazhniuk in the membership of the official Ukrainian delegation led by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov will take part in the plenary session of the Committee on Economic Cooperation of the Ukrainian- Russian interstate commission. The event will be held in Kaluga. Parties are expected to discuss prospects for increasing trade turnover between the two countries. The minister also intends to raise the issue of speeding up inspections of Ukrainian confectionary factories by the Rospotrebnadzor experts.
