A mission of the International Monetary Fund will visit Ukraine to meet the authorities on October 17-29, IMF office in Kyiv says in a statement.

"IMF mission headed by Mr. Nikolai Georgiyev will visit Ukraine in the period of October 17-29 to hold consultations and conduct post-program monitoring," the statement reads.

The mission is to evaluate the macroeconomic situation in Ukraine and to discuss with the authorities the issues of economic policy and plans for short- and midterm.

As reported earlier, PM Azarov rules out any connected between the probable signing of the Association agreement with the EU and loan negotiations with IMF.
