Election law may be submitted to Parliament before Venice Commission findings

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine may submit a draft law on amendments to the electoral law to the Verkhovna Rada before the Venice Commission draws its conclusions, justice minister of Ukraine Olena Lukash said during a roundtable, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We will receive the findings on October 11, but we already know what remarks and positive aspects will be reflected. So I think we will consult with leadership and will try to submit our achievements earlier. But our achievements are not secret, a bill that the Justice Ministry passed to the Venice Commission is published on the Ministry's website and on other websites. Politicians, lawyers or anyone could get acquainted with them," she said.
