The EU-Ukraine Association Agreement does not provide for the free movement of labor as this requires a separate agreement, European Commissioner for Trade Karel De Gucht said in interview with Channel 5.

"The free trade agreement has no provisions regarding the possibility of Ukrainian citizens to work in the European Union beyond what we have now. Therefore, it needs a separate agreement where the EU Member States, will have to decide on the issue. When the FTA is signed, we can move forward and closer to an agreement on the free movement of labor," De Gucht said.
