Rate of hryvnia against dollar will remain stable by the year-end, at the level of 8.1-8.3 UAH/1 USD, Alpari financial analyst Oleksandr Mikhaylenko told a briefing "Trends and forecasts of financial markets in Ukraine", ForUm correspondent reports.
He stressed that the exchange rate of hryvnia against the dollar will keep a stable position.
"The last year has shown that the NBU takes up extremely aggressive position on deterring devaluation of the national currency. Accordingly, it can be concluded that, despite the possible increase in the trade deficit in the case of the conclusion of the Association Agreement (with the EU - Ed.), the rate may still be at a more or less adequate elevations and there will be no high volatility," the expert said.
