The government should create such opportunities for the development of IT industry, so that our specialists stay working in Ukraine, Vvce Prime Minister of Ukraine Kostyantyn Hryshchenko said during a meeting with representatives of the leading companies in the field of Information Technology on September 27.
Hryshchenko assured the meeting participants of the fact that Ukraine pays considerable attention to the development of information technology and the development of technological entrepreneurship.
He said he is convinced of the need to improve the quality of education in the field of IT and harmonization of the educational process to the needs of IT businesses.
"The number of IT specialists in Ukraine at the beginning of 2013 was about 250 thousand people, 45 thousand of them are certified highly qualified specialists who design competitive export-oriented products. We must create opportunities for the development of IT industry, so that our specialists stay working in Ukraine," vice PM said.
Kostyantyn Hryshchenko urged the leading IT-companies to actively develop training programs in cooperation with Ukrainian universities.
The meeting was attended by representatives of such companies as Singularity University Labs, EMC, Intel, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, Bosch, Apple, Infopulse Ukraine, Bionic Hills and others.
