Obtaining the status of a dialogue partner with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) promotes economic growth of Ukraine, strengthen its position in the international arena, as well as enhance cooperation with the organization members.
First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov told reporters, summing up preliminary results of his visit to China.
"We need to move on. We plan to enter into this project as quickly as possible. This gives us economic growth, experience, relations between countries, people," he said, answering the question what Ukraine will benefit from a partnership with the SCO.
In general, Arbuzov called the talks with Chinese partners successful.
"The mission, which I chair, produce results. All sectors, which planned to be supported by the Chinese partners, have received this support," First Vice Prime Minister said.
According to him, the parties had already planned work for the next year.
"We outlined the plans and specific proposals, and we will fulfill them. Strategic directions are agriculture, aviation, space industry, science, culture, medicine," Arbuzov said.
