The National Bank of Ukraine has no plans to introduce a mandatory conversion of foreign currency into hryvnia at transfers from abroad, deputy director of the NBU monetary and credit policy department Lyudmyla Chepynoha told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

"This decision (to change the order of receipt of funds in foreign currency on individual current accounts - Ed.) concerns exclusively transfers within Ukraine and does not cover transfers from abroad. Standards on orders from abroad have remained the same," she said.

According to her, to date, the NBU is not examining the introduction of the mandatory conversion of foreign currency into hryvnia at transfers from abroad. "We want to see the result of this resolution, and then, perhaps, any restrictive measures will be taken on the basis of this analysis," he stressed.
