The bilateral strategic relations between Ukraine and China have reached a new level of partnership, first deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov stated during the second meeting of the Ukrainian-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission for Cooperation.

Arbuzov also met with chairman of the Commission – vice Premier of the State Council Ma Kai. According to the results of the meeting, the parties signed the final protocol.

"Ukraine attaches great importance to the relations with the People's Republic of China. We consider China as a strategic foreign trade partner of Ukraine and as a key partner in the Asia-Pacific region. We have all prerequisites for further intensification of bilateral cooperation," Arbuzov said.

He noted that a solid foundation of the Ukrainian-Chinese strategic partnership was laid today. A joint hard work at the end of last year finished with signing of two major credit agreements on financing of projects in the Ukrainian agricultural sector worth 3 billion USD and projects in the energy sector of Ukraine worth nearly 3.7 billion USD.
